Hibbard bowlers donate $10,000 in support of local cancer patients
Oct 29, 2023Hibbard Sports Bowls Club members and Hibbard Sports Club patrons have delivered a $10,000 donation to Mid North Coast Cancer Institute at Port Macquarie.
Kay, Gae, and Rob bowled over Nurse Unit Manager Kristy Long when they presented the proceeds of their wrong bias fundraiser, a fine system for members who inadvertently send the bowl away from the jack instead of towards it.
The cheque also included proceeds from meat raffles at the club and donations from patrons.
“Thank you seems inadequate, but we are in awe of Hibbard Sports Bowls Club for their support for local cancer patients,” Ms Long said.
