There were seven COVID-19 cases in the Mid North Coast Local Health District reported to 8pm yesterday (10 November).

Four cases are from the Port Macquarie-Hastings Local Government Area (LGA), two cases are from Kempsey LGA and one case is from Nambucca Valley LGA.

Six of the cases are linked to a known case or cluster and one is a household contact of a confirmed case. All cases are isolating.

There have been 424 cases reported in the MNCLHD since the beginning of the current NSW outbreak.

COVID-19 testing rates remain high across the Mid North Coast with 711 tests conducted yesterday including 394 at Port Macquarie, 183 at Coffs Harbour and 90 at Kempsey. We encourage anyone with even the mildest of cold-like symptoms to come forward for testing and isolate until a negative result is received.

There are 500 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW, many of which are open seven days a week. To find your nearest clinic visit the NSW Government website or contact your GP.

We encourage people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as they are able to. Find available bookings at the Australian Government’s COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Finder (previously Eligibility Checker), or you can also call Health Direct on 1800 571 155 for assistance to book.

NSW Health state-run clinics are now offering a booster dose, using the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, to individuals aged 18 and over.

This booster shot will help people maintain a high level of protection against the COVID-19 virus, including the Delta variant. People aged 18 years and older may receive a booster at least six months after receiving their second dose of any of the COVID-19 vaccines registered for use in Australia.
