A smile, a hello, a please or thank you, are those small acts of kindness that make a big difference to the experiences of our staff, our patients and their families, across NSW Health.
The NSW Health Gathering of Kindness (11-15 November) uses World Kindness Day to continue a conversation about kindness and compassion in healthcare.
NSW Health has a long and proud history of providing safe and kind care to patients, families, carers and volunteers. Help us continue to build and nurture a culture of kindness across NSW Health.
In 2024, we’re focusing on Kindness is my Superpower, showcasing kindness in action across the state. This year’s program also celebrates the launch of the NSW Health and the Arts Framework, which demonstrates how the arts can support mental health, aged care, and overall wellbeing by fostering creativity and human connection.
We invite you to join a series of events, developed in partnership with the Nursing and Midwifery Office and the Hush Foundation, to explore opportunities for collaboration, change, and courage.
How to get involved:
- In-person: Connect with what’s happening in your Local Health District or Speciality Health Network with in-person events planned at facilities near you.
- Online events: Tune in to daily virtual session to inspire creativity, change, collaboration, courage, and reconnect with hearts and minds.
- On-demand: Catch up on panel discussions, keynote sessions and conversations on demand on the Elevating the Human Experience Gathering of Kindness intranet site at a time convenient for you.
- Host your own event: Organise a local Gathering of Kindness or a ‘Watch Party’ to connect with your team and community.
