Explore the new Culture and Staff Experience Framework

Oct 30, 2024

The new NSW Health Culture and Staff Experience Framework sets the direction and behavioural expectations for creating a workplace culture that brings out the best in everyone.

The Framework is designed to provide guidance and support in developing local initiatives to improve and maintain a productive culture and a positive staff experience for all.

The CORE values remain at the heart of our work so their definitions have been refreshed following consultations with staff right across the system.

The new versions reflect what it means to work together effectively in a contemporary health setting and guide us as we navigate the evolving needs of the communities we serve.

Supporting collateral including detailed behaviour statements representing how to bring our values to life are available here.

The Framework introduces nine culture levers, providing consistency in how we talk and think about the key elements that contribute to shaping a nurturing, inclusive and positive culture.

The Culture and Staff Experience Framework Summary provides an overview of the levers with specific examples of behaviour that create a positive staff experience. It was designed to support people leaders and teams when planning culture initiatives.

The Culture and Staff Experience Hub (the Culture Hub) provides a variety of tools, research and support materials to facilitate culture change activities. This can be accessed directly via the Intranet. It will be revised quarterly to ensure its resources remains current and relevant

Please replace all old materials with the new versions of the CORE values. Refreshed posters including customisable versions are available on the Culture Hub.
