There were no cases of COVID-19 reported in the Mid North Coast Local Health District to 8pm yesterday (28 November).

There have been 498 cases reported in the District since the beginning of the current NSW outbreak.

We continue to urge anyone with the mildest of symptoms to get tested for COVID-19 following the detection of fragments of the virus in sewage samples taken from Smithtown on 25 November.

Testing sewage can help provide early warning of undetected infections in an area. In this instance, where there are no known cases of COVID-19, this is of particular concern.

Please get vaccinated to protect yourself and others against COVID-19 and keep coming forward for testing if you experience any symptoms such as a fever, sore throat, cough, runny nose, shortness of breath or loss of taste or smell.
