Community urged to be COVID-safe as 24 new cases reported

There were 24 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the Mid North Coast Local Health District to 8pm yesterday (19 December).

Seven cases are from the Coffs Harbour Local Government Area (LGA), seven cases are from the Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA, four cases are from the Bellingen LGA, three cases are from the Kempsey LGA and three cases are from the Nambucca Valley LGA.

The source of the infection of 21 cases is under investigation, two cases are linked to a known case or cluster and one case is a household contact of a confirmed case.

There have been 715 cases reported in the District since the beginning of the current NSW outbreak.

Please get vaccinated to protect yourself and others against COVID-19 and keep coming forward for testing if you experience any symptoms.
