Charity golf day in support of local lymphedema patients

Nov 13, 2024

Frederickton Golf Club will host a charity golf day on Sunday, 24 November in support of Kempsey’s Lilli Pilli Ladies, a dedicated charity group supporting local cancer patients.

Funds raised on the day will go directly towards providing lymphedema garments for patients receiving treatment at Kempsey District Hospital.

Lymphedema garments are specialised compression clothing designed to manage and treat lymphedema, a condition caused by the accumulation of lymph fluid in tissues, leading to swelling, usually in the arms or legs. These garments apply controlled pressure to the affected area, and are vital in managing symptoms, reducing discomfort, and improving mobility and quality of life for patients.

The charity event is set to be a 4-person Ambrose, with a shotgun start at 9am. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in vibrant lime and pink, reflecting the charity’s spirit and commitment to supporting patients facing lymphedema and breast cancer challenges.

Following the golf, an auction and raffle will be held at 2pm, offering participants and supporters an additional way to contribute to this important cause.

Registration is $20 per person, and players of all skill levels are invited to join in for a day of camaraderie, community spirit, and impactful fundraising. To register, please call 6566 8261 or email fgc@fredericktongolfclub.com.au.

Join Kempsey’s Lilli Pilli Ladies on the green for a day of fun, support, and hope, as the community comes together to make a difference for local breast cancer and lymphedema patients.
