Palliative Care teams across the Mid North Coast Local Health District stand out for their unwavering commitment to providing compassionate, holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families, during some of the most challenging times in people’s lives.
Last week our Coffs Harbour Health Campus team hosted a memorial service to honour and remember the patients they have cared for, creating a space for families to come together in reflection and healing.
The event provides families with a moment to acknowledge their loss, share memories, and find solace in the presence of others who understand their grief.
Recently, the team won the Nursing Team of the Year category at the International Nurses Day Awards held at Coffs Harbour Health Campus.
The team held an informative display at Coffs Harbour Health Campus highlighting Palliative Care Week and raising awareness about the importance of palliative care and services available to patients and their families.
