Bright Future – growth and development top of the list
Jul 22, 2024Clinton Gibbs was farewelled by his colleagues at Port Macquarie Community Health as he took up his new position as MNCLHD’s Manager of Aboriginal Workforce Development (MAWD).
Clinton has made a significant contribution to the health of Aboriginal people and communities for more than 16 years, in both his previous work with WNSWLHD and with the MNCLHD more recently as a district project manager covering Patient Reported Measures, Value-Based Care and My Virtual Care within the Integrated Care, Allied Health and Community Services (ICHACS) Directorate.
Clinton was recognised for his leadership and contribution to elevating the voice of consumers, as a lead for implementing patient report measures across MNCLHD.
Kate Meredith, A/ ICAHCS acknowledged Clinton for his considered approaches to collaboration and engagement, demonstrating respect and trust in fostering connection and relationships.
He was also recognised for his unique ability to maintain a sense of calm and composure under pressure to support staff to deliver outcomes that matter to patients.
While Clinton will be missed from the ICHACS directorate, the People and Culture team is incredibly pleased to have him bring this extensive experience, knowledge and passion into the MAWD role and help MNCLHD achieve its aspiration of a thriving, empowered and engaged Aboriginal workforce now and for the future.
With the MAWD position vacant for some time, Clinton will have the opportunity to draw on his many strengths to develop a clear strategic plan to drive new and existing initiatives and activities to support the growth and development of our Aboriginal workforce recognising that we must all work together to achieve our aspiration, as it is no single person’s role alone.
