Aug 13, 2024The BowraMacksville branch of the United Hospital Auxiliary (UHA) hosted one of its major fundraising events of the year, the UHA Trivia Night, at Nambucca Heads Island Golf Club on Saturday.
The annual event, which is always eagerly anticipated, not only serves as a crucial fundraiser for Macksville District Hospital but also as a highlight on the social calendar.
Every dollar raised from the trivia night is dedicated to purchasing much-needed equipment for Macksville District Hospital, making it an evening with a cause.
The night was packed with fun, including prizes, games, and raffles, as well as the trivia hosted by Courtney of Oppy Entertainment, creating an unforgettable experience for all. The event saw the enthusiastic participation of more than 100 people, including 40 staff members from Macksville District Hospital and their friends, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
Last financial year, fundraising events like the trivia night, together with the proceeds from the UHA Café, contributed to more than $102,000 being donated to the hospital in medical equipment and patient comfort items.
The UHA’s ongoing support continues to make a significant difference in the level of care provided at Macksville District Hospital.
