Native Sons Motorcycle Club has long supported Coffs Harbour Health Campus’ Paediatric Unit, but not even they could have anticipated the dramas behind their latest fundraising effort.

Their annual Lowanna Run was postponed in 2020 due to COVID-19, rescheduled for the Easter long weekend in 2021 but postponed again due to floods, then moved to the October long weekend, when wet weather struck again.

Not prepared to throw in the towel, club members raffled the goods donated by local businesses, with the support of Coramba Hotel and its patrons. The end result was a magnificent $1000.50!

We don’t recall so many hurdles placed in the way of one group trying to support our patients, but we remain very grateful to Ray Johnson and the club’s members for their persistence and ongoing support.
