Become a champion and bust barriers to inclusion

Oct 07, 2024

At the Mid North Coast Local Health District, we believe that creating accessible and inclusive workplaces benefits everyone.

But too often, people with disability face unnecessary barriers when seeking or maintaining a job. It’s time to change that—and we need your help!

Inclusive workplaces celebrate every team member’s unique skills, strengths, and contributions. By making our spaces accessible and accommodating for our workmates with diverse needs, we’re not just following the law—we’re opening doors, removing obstacles, and unlocking the true potential of our workforce.

To strengthen our commitment to inclusion, we’re excited to announce the formation of the MNCLHD Disability Champions Group—a space for employees with lived experience of disability to come together and make a lasting impact.

In this group, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Share your experiences and insights
  • Offer advice on workplace disability matters
  • Help drive initiatives that build a culture where every staff member, student, and visitor feels valued and included.

If you have lived experience with disability, are a carer, or have a passion for disability inclusion, we’d love for you to be part of this important group.

By joining, you’ll play a key role in making a real difference not only for employees with disabilities but for our entire team.

Let’s work together to ensure everyone feels welcomed, respected, and empowered at work!

Submit your expression of interest by 20 October 2024 and become part of the change. We can’t wait to see the impact we’ll make together!
