A bit of razzle dazzle for Wauchope’s Rehabilitation Unit
Aug 08, 2024All eyes may be on Paris at the moment, but we want to give a big shout-out to our friends at Newport Village!
On July 14th, they rallied together to celebrate Bastille Day and raised an incredible $1,100 for stroke rehabilitation patients at Wauchope District Memorial Hospital.
This fun event, organised by the retirement village’s guru of entertainment, John Norton, will help purchase a bariatric commode, a sling for the unit’s patient lifter, and a tippy kettle for patients learning skills to regain their independence.
The rehab unit is recognised across Australasia for its outstanding care for stroke patients, which is enhanced even more thanks to the support we receive from our community.
Thank you, John, whose wardrobe is as bright as his personality, and thank you, Newport residents and friends, for once again supporting our patients!
