225 new COVID-19 cases reported for Mid North Coast

There were 225 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the Mid North Coast Local Health District to 4pm yesterday (17 February 2022) – including 206 positive rapid antigen tests (RATs) and 19 positive PCR tests*.

Sadly, Mid North Coast Health is reporting the deaths of three people with COVID-19 from Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA (one person in their 70s and two people in their 90s). We extend our sincere condolences to their loved ones.

Of today’s cases, 75 are from Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA, 66 are from Coffs Harbour LGA, , 39 are from Kempsey LGA, 25 are from Nambucca Valley LGA, , and 20 are from Bellingen LGA.

There are 45 COVID-19 cases in Mid North Coast hospitals, with four people in intensive care.

There have been 20,941 cases reported in the district since June 2021.

At our Mid North Coast Health clinics, there were 99 tests conducted yesterday.

* Please note there may be some cases included in these numbers where people have reported positive RATs on multiple days and/or where people have also had a positive PCR test during the same reporting period.
