Healthy and Active for Life
Regular physical activity is important for everyone, especially as we get older. Regular physical activity can help you to stay fit and independent as long as possible, reduce your risk of a fall and help to prevent chronic diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease.
The Healthy and Active for Life Online (HALOnline) is a free 10-week online program that is delivered online, in the comfort of your own home.
HALOnline provides online information on healthy lifestyles and exercises that can be completed at home for Indigenous (45 years and older) and non-Indigenous adults (60 years and older) living in NSW home.
If you participate in HALOnline you will get:
- access to weekly online healthy lifestyle modules and two online exercise programs
- weekly handouts and an exercise manual
- telephone support to keep you motivated
- ongoing access to the online modules and exercise programs for 12 months.
Programs run every four times a year, register at any time to be placed on a waiting list.
For more information about HALOnline go to the website or contact us at mnclhd-hp@health.nsw.gov.au
