Criteria for COVID-19 Assessment

NSW Health recommends if you have ANY of the following symptoms you should be tested for COVID-19, even if symptoms are mild:

  • Fever (37.5° or higher)
  • Cough
  • Sore/ scratchy throat
  • Shortness of breath
  • Loss of taste or smell.

Other reported symptoms of COVID-19 include fatigue, runny nose, muscle pain, joint pain, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting and loss of appetite. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia with severe acute respiratory distress.

Please note our clinics are now testing anyone who wants to be tested as a state-wide initiative to closely monitor the situation across NSW and locally.

Coffs Harbour Health Campus COVID-19 Clinic
8am to 4:30pm 7 days per week
Children under 6 years of age will not be tested at this facility and should attend the Emergency Department.
Access the clinic via the Emergency Department entrance (turn right at main roundabout) and park in ED carpark. Walk past ED entrance and look for demountable buildings, they are sign posted.

Kempsey Health Campus Clinic
8:30am to 2:30 pm 7 days per week
Clinic is located in the Emergency Department carpark Polwood Street Kempsey.

Old Macksville Hospital Site Drive-Through COVID-19 Clinic
9am to 1pm weekdays
Children under 6 years of age will not be tested at this facility and should attend the Emergency Department.
Entrance via Nancye Roberts Drive.

Port Macquarie Base Hospital COVID-19 Clinic
via the Emergency Department
Please note: Clinic will be open 9am-5pm Labour Day Public Holiday (Mon Oct 5)
8am to 6pm weekdays
9am to 5pm – Saturday and Sunday
Go to the Port Macquarie Base Hospital Emergency Department staff will assist you upon arrival.
