Dr Shehnarz Salindera

Dr Shehnarz Salindera

Dr Shehnarz Salindera is currently a specialist Breast & General Surgeon at Coffs Harbour Hospital. She is a Coffs Harbour local and returned to work in the area after completing her Oncoplastic Breast Fellowship at Westmead Breast Cancer Institute and Royal North Shore hospital, including a Post-Graduate Certificate in Breast Surgery from the University of Sydney. With these qualifications she is able to provide modern breast cancer surgery including reconstruction to rural patients.

She is an advocate for rural communities and holds a Masters in Surgery from the University of Oxford, focusing on recruitment and retention of rural surgeons. She also represents rural NSW to the Royal Australasian College Surgeons and presented in the NSW parliamentary inquiry into Rural Health in 2021.

With a strong interest in research and teaching, Dr Salindera is currently the supervisor of General Surgery training for Coffs Harbour and course coordinator for the University of Sydney Masters in Surgery Leadership Program.
