Coffs Harbour volunteers need your help
Apr 12, 2022Would you like to brighten someone’s day? Meet new friends? Use your skills to help others?
Coffs Harbour Health Campus is looking for people to volunteer as members of the Coffs Harbour Pink Ladies or Coffs Harbour General Volunteers.
Both groups do an amazing job at the hospital, from manning the General Volunteers’ enquiries desk to serving delicious coffee and meals at the Pink Ladies Café.
Our volunteers are awesome. They help visitors, unfamiliar with the hospital layout, to their destination, they run the Pink Ladies Shop where visitors can grab a gift for a loved one or buy necessities, and they are always there with a helping hand or compassionate smile when visitors and staff need it most.
There is even an opportunity to learn how to become a barista in the Mid North Coast Cancer Institute cafe. We provide the training, free, and you will absolutely brighten the day of our cancer patients and their loved ones.
The hospital has missed its volunteers over the past two years, and while some areas of the hospital are still not able to have volunteers due to COVID-19 precautions, we want to start rebuilding our volunteer base.
Anyone who cares about their community can be a volunteer – your new friends will buddy up with you to show you what to do.
