Port Macquarie Base Hospital Car Park Project
The first stage of the Port Macquarie Base Hospital car park project will be the construction of a 113-space staff parking area, accessible via Toorak Court.
The total investment will deliver more than 300 new car parking spaces, helping to ease the burden on staff, patients and visitors to the busy regional hospital.
Port Macquarie Base Hospital is the major referral hospital for the Hastings Macleay Clinical Network and provides the majority of specialist medical and surgical services for communities in the region.
The investment in the car park follows the completion of the $104 million Port Macquarie Hospital Expansion project in December 2014, which delivered a new emergency department, additional beds, operating theatres, inpatient wards and services.
When the car park project is completed, fees will apply across the health campus for hospital staff, visitors and patients. Concessional rates will be available for some car park users.
Parking fees were introduced at Coffs Harbour Health Campus in August 2015, following the expansion of car parking at that site.
